The client is a Canada-based data science solutions provider. The primary objective of his business is to safeguard investors from potential losses in their investments while simultaneously pursuing and preserving opportunities for significant gains. Using the power of data science, they measure the risks of earnings manipulation, fraud, and bankruptcy that may adversely affect companies.

Challenge

The client noticed a drop in the response times while using the current software. This lag was adversely affecting their productivity and user experience. The existing software, built using .NET, required a revamp to overcome this performance concern. Our challenge was to redevelop this application in React.js to improve overall performance and responsiveness. Additionally, we aimed to integrate custom features for Excel Office integration to enhance system performance and user experience.

iFour Technolab Pvt. Ltd., a leading Excel Add-in development company USA, redeveloped the existing software to overcome performance concerns and built the SFJ Lemon Microsoft Excel Add-in using ReactJS. It benefits the customer with greater effectiveness and performance.

The solution comprises the following features:

We have created three user-define functions in this project.

1. LemonBatch function

2. LemonTable function

3. TodayNV function

We have some equities which are calculated by API and with the help of functions we display the response in the Excel sheet using the Microsoft Office JS API.

1. LemonBatch function

- In the first field, we must select tickers.

- In the second field, we must select the fields.

- In the third field, we must select the date.

2. LemonTable function

- In the first field we must select tickers (accept multiple values)

- In the second field, we must select the fields (accept multiple values)

- In the third field, we must select the date (only single value accept)

3. TodayNV function

This function simply just returns today’s date.

-> “UUID-Package” is used for the login functionality System.

-> “JWT-DECODE package” is used to decode the access token.

-> This add-in was created using a Shared Runtime Environment, the shared runtime runs all parts of the Excel add-in (ribbon buttons, task pane, custom functions) in a single browser runtime. This makes it easy to share data through local storage, or through global variables.

-> Login and Logout Functionality
